Walking- a good thing?

Pinkie is walking these days. I hadn't gotten around to post/video about it, but family far away (sad!) has asked to see her latest 'trick'. My thought is: Is Pinkie's walking really a good thing- I tend to think it is making life harder... I spend a lot of time chasing her around and soothing her after a fall. Of course, I am kidding (I lover her walking and I want her to grow...blah blah blah)

Zoo Babes...

On Thursday, we went to the Oregon Zoo with our friends. Alie is 8+months preggo. She needs fun outings to keep Saree entertained. I am perfectly happy tagging along with someone as cool as Alie. Pinkie is perfectly entertained by Saree. What a perfect match...

What's the big deal about a soggy, wet diaper?
Petting Zoo's are too scary for our Zoo babes. You wouldn't know that 2 months ago all these Zoo Babes did was fight over toys, push and cry... Now they seem to be Best Friends. What if they are just tricking us?

Slacker ALERT!

This was me at 4:00 AM. I shamelessly flaunted my freedom from work this past week and procrastinated doing a 12 page research paper. Boy howdy, I paid for it last night! Thank goodness we do not have cable to distract me.

I happily report my paper is finished! Unfortunately, my slacker abilities continue because I am in class RIGHT NOW updating my blog... there is no hope for a grad student like me :)

Sand in the City

Today we went to Sand in the City at Pioneer Square. Pinkie loves sand (we learned this in North Carolina) but she did not make many friends today. She kept throwing sand and trying to take other kids shovels, buckets or masterpieces. I did the whole warning thing "if you don't stop we'll have to leave because that is not nice behavior", but I question does this really work on a 14 month old? We had to leave eventually- there were tears and flailing limbs. It was a beautiful day in Portland and I am so glad we spent it outside.
