Excellent Options...

Like I said before, I'm a beginner non-meat-eater. Yep, still going strong and I really do notice a difference in how I feel--- like lighter and spunkier. So, at least a month in we've eaten some great meals! Tonight's meal, however, stands high above the rest. Courtesy of Dave Lieberman from the Food network: Falafel Sandwiches with Sesame Mint Yogurt Sauce.
It was AMAZING!!!
Of course, I took no pictures- I was too busy snacking. Please try it, try it.
P.S. I added ground beef for the Dad. He's not into vegetarianism. So I put aside about a 1/2cup of the falafel mixture for the end and worked ground beef into the mix. He liked them, but said the straight up falafel was best!

For your viewing pleasure...

As a mother, I ,of course, think my daughter is hilarious.

Here are two recent videos of her funny personality. Note* these were shot in between major tantrums over something like popcorn for breakfast and grapes touching the chips.

Also, the Minnie dress is our new uniform. If she sees it hanging or laying anywhere she will strip and get stuck in the dress. We're going on day 4 of the dress. Thanks McGaw family! Please enjoy...

Congratulations!!!

Andy and Tara got married!!!
And they gave John and I the perfect excuse for a weekend sans toddler in terrible two tantrums. We dropped Pinkie off with Auntie Lisa and James and headed south to Shady Cove. Yes, the town is as cute as its name.
We rehearsed, we slept in (till 8:30am!), John fished and I watched CABLE!!!
You can tell it was just a dream come true. I did all the girl stuff that you don't get to do when you have a toddler and a job. I painted all 20 finger and toes, watched the Food Network, stayed in bed till 10am and made sure every single hair on my head was perfect.
Then, I began my bridesmaid duties- telling the bride she's beautiful, making sure the decor was just perfect and getting the caterer in gear.
So, every gal I know Get Married!!! I want another weekend off!!!

#4

Commandment #4: Honor thy father and mother.
As good Christian women, PsychMom and I, are teaching our girls the pride of a clean home.
We take them to toy stores and make them clean. It works for the whole group- parents, toy store and girls.

It felt so right...

We had a shoe adventure, that was supposed to lead us to shoes for Pinkie. Her sandals just don't do it for her. I think they hurt or scratch or hurt and scratch. But, as we were browsing the clearance section called my name...
and it led me to these. They might not appeal to some, but, guiltily, they appeal to me.
I have no red clothes. I have no sexy places to go.
I needed these shoes. They were only $10! Any suggestions on what to wear with them? And we did find Pinkie new shoes. Our first pair of princess light up tennis shoes. We're officially a toddler family.

TWO! TWO!!

Miss. P has turned TWO!! Friday was her birthday and Daddy has officially declared her a princess. They woke up together and went to breakfast where she indulged in chocolate chip pancakes, hold the pancakes. Then our small threesome went to Out of this World Pizza to play. Pinkie is very strong and her daddy is still a kid at heart. The Big Party happened on Sunday with all the family and friends. We had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. Tia Shanna and Aunti Kimmie solidified Pinkie's princess-ness with a Minnie Dress, patent leather shoes and Mickeys ears custom with her name on the back.
We loved having it in the park again this year. And the weather was gorgeous. Thank you to all those who came and those that wish they could have.
And every party just needs Mickey ears and bubbles. That's the secret- no food, no cake, no painted characters or fancy decor... just bubbles and ears.
